DRIVE:
As with most cabins with a view, the cabin is located in the hills. Parts of the drive will be curvy/winding and include a couple steep portions. You will need 4WD (4-wheel drive), AWD (all-wheel drive) and/or tire chains to get up to the cabin during the winter season in the event of inclement weather.
NEIGHBORS:
The second empty lot up the street from the cabin was recently purchased and the new owners have begun construction in September on their new cabin. There may be some construction noise until the cabin is completed.
WILDLIFE:
Since the cabin is located in the wilderness area, you will likely see and hear critters. As hard as we try to prevent pests with a comprehensive pest control process and monthly treatments, there may still be visits from 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 100+ legged creatures (i.e. millipedes, ladybugs, flying squirrels, etc) in the cabin. Please help prevent it by closing entry doors when not in use. Lastly, it is not uncommon to encounter wildlife animals, such as bears while staying in cabins in the Smoky Mountains. Please keep your distance. Close your car windows and lock the doors. Do not leave food in the car or unattended outside the cabin.

In order to book this cabin, your identity on the Airbnb booking platform must be verified (phone number, email, payment information and driver's license). You will be asked to sign a rental agreement within 24 hours of booking else reservation will be cancelled. Signing the rental agreement and paying a $500 security deposit is required to get the door access code. The security deposit will be collected 2 days before your stay begins. If the rental agreement is not signed and security deposit not paid for, door access code will NOT be provided and reservation will be cancelled.

FIRE BAN:
Sevier County has imposed a ban on open fires on the area where the cabin is located in. This includes outdoor burning. If folks are caught burning, it is a misdemeanor and are fined $2500. This applies to my cabin as we have an outdoor park style charcoal grill. You will not be allowed to use it unfortunately. This burn ban is in effect due to the devastating fires that hit the Smokies last year where many cabins were lost. Hopefully you understand this burn ban and will oblige.
